business card close

  1. Description: Business Card and Letterhead for a Lemonade company
  2. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): This business idea started while I was living in Florida. When I found out about this project I thought why not create a logo for a company that one day I would want to create. I started drafting logos, and then I went into Illustrator and created the logo you see. After that I took the logo image from Illustrator and created the business card and letterhead in InDesign.
  3. Message: That this is a fun lemonade company.
  4. Audience: Those who love lemonade.
  5. Top Thing Learned: The main thing I learned was how to create a watermark. Although the watermark did not make it to the final design it was still cool to learn how to create one.

P4 Montage

  1. Description: This a montage made by blending two images with typography.

  3. Message: My message is thanking the Lord for his beautiful creations.
  4. Audience: My audience is members of the LDS church.
  5. Top Thing Learned: The top thing I learned was how masking worked. I learned that while you are trying to remove part of an image if you color is not true black it will not disappear completely.
  6. Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: I blurred part of the trees on the image of the girl before I blended them so that way it would be easier to blend and not have so many hard lines.

P3 Activity: Photography

Light 1: Outside
Light 2: Inside
Focus 1: Foreground
Focus 2: Background
Composition 1: Thirds
Composition 2: Lead Room

I really enjoyed this assignment because it allowed my to practice my photography skills and I learned how to use some basic principles in photoshop. For my first light image I was up near the Hinckley building when this pine tree blew me away. The original photo had a light post in it, but thanks to photoshop it is no longer there. The second light image was taken in the greenhouse. Both focus images are courtesy of the greenhouse, as well as the rule of thirds image. The final image of my roommate was taken in the apple orchard.

My favorite image would have to be the one of the cactus. First I love it because it reminds me of home. The second reason why it’s my favorite is because I love the detail of the image. I also really enjoy them colors of the cactus as well.
